Why We Exist
Globally, women-led startups receive less than 3% of all venture capital funding, and women hold only 2% of VC boardroom seats. At QSTP, we’re changing that narrative.
The 300 is a new initiative to convene, educate, and empower women in Qatar to become active participants in the venture capital ecosystem. Our goal is to equip women with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities they need to invest in high-potential startups—while also making a positive social impact.
What We Do
Through The 300, we:
- Educate women about venture capital, startups, and impact investing.
- Create co-investment opportunities in top Qatar-based startups.
- Foster connections between aspiring women investors and experienced leaders.
- Champion success stories to inspire the next generation of women in VC.
Key Insights We Explore
1. Balancing Profit and Purpose
Impact is not charity—strong financial returns can go together with positive change.
2. Addressing Gender Bias in Funding
Bias in investment is systemic and real. The best way to change it? Showcase visible, proven success stories of women-led investments to shift perceptions and build lasting credibility.
3. Starting Without a Finance Background
You don’t need to be a finance expert to start investing. Begin with small, surplus funds, and treat it as a learning journey. Over time, you’ll grow both your financial literacy and confidence.
4. Investing Beyond Capital
Women bring more than money to the table—mentorship, emotional intelligence, strategic insight, consumer perspective, and life experience are powerful assets that can shape a startup’s success.
