Stars of Science

Stars of Science was established in 2009 as the first-of-its-kind, Pan-Arab edutainment television program by the Qatar Foundation. The initiative was driven by innovation, but its format was developed around the solid values and objectives of the Qatar Foundation.

Overview

Since 2009, Stars of Science has been the Arab world’s first and foremost edutainment television initiative, a Qatar Foundation program built on innovation and grounded in QF’s enduring values and objectives. Hosted at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), the program has spent more than a decade empowering young Arab innovators to transform bold ideas into tangible, real-world solutions, helping to foster a culture of innovation among Arab youth and across the region.

Now entering its landmark Season 18, the program returns reimagined for a new era with a refreshed format, a modern new look, and the same mission at its heart: to spotlight the region’s most promising innovators as they build technologies that improve lives, create opportunity in their communities, and advance sustainable development across the Arab world.

Timeline & Structure

Across the competition, participants develop their ventures in a shared innovation ecosystem. An expert panel mentors and selects the most promising innovators and their ventures, across successive rounds of development, prototyping and testing. The strongest advance to a final stage, where their ideas are judged on real-world impact and investability. The season’s standout innovators get the opportunity to pitch in front of VCs and angel investors and ultimately secure a place in QSTP incubation program to build their ventures for the long term.
