Communications Manager
Job Family: Communications
Reports to: Relations & Partnerships Director
Location: Education City, Doha
Full-time
Lead and execute an integrated communication strategy that positions QSTP as a global hub for innovation, deep tech, and impact-driven ventures — leveraging AI to shape compelling narratives across our ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute QSTP’s communications strategy to strengthen brand positioning and attract companies, investors, strategic partners, and talent
- Create and manage high-quality bilingual content across multiple channels, including press releases, thought leadership, social media, newsletters, and impact stories
- Translate complex scientific and technological concepts into clear, engaging narratives for diverse local and international audiences
- Lead media relations, ecosystem event communications, and strategic storytelling initiatives in collaboration with startups, partners, and resident companies
- Leverage AI-powered tools, performance analytics, and external vendors to enhance communication effectiveness and operational efficiency
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, PR, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8–10 years of full-time communications experience in technology, research, innovation, or startup ecosystems (3 at supervisory level)
- Ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts (AI/ML, biotech, cleantech, robotics) into clear, compelling narratives
- Strong knowledge of AI applications in communications: content generation, personalisation, translation, audience segmentation, and analytics
- Proven experience in strategic communication plans supporting brand building and ecosystem visibility
- Solid experience managing digital platforms: website, social media, email marketing, and analytics dashboards
- Strong media relations capability with regional and international journalists
- Excellent writing skills; Arabic proficiency is required
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
Finance Manager
Job Family: Finance
Reports to: Operations Director
Location: Education City, Doha
Full-time
Oversee the financial operations of QSTP while managing the financial and operational aspects of our associated venture fund — a senior leadership role at the intersection of innovation and investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with investors, venture capital and private equity funds, portfolio companies, corporates, accelerators, and government entities.
- Lead investment and co-investment activities, including opportunity evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, risk assessment, and portfolio performance monitoring
- Oversee QSTP’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, and financial reporting functions in alignment with international standards and organizational objectives
- Manage fund governance, regulatory compliance, and coordination with fund administrators, auditors, legal counsel, tax advisors, and Qatar Foundation stakeholders
- Design and enhance modern financial infrastructure through AI-enabled automation, advanced analytics, integrated dashboards, and operational performance monitoring
Minimum Requirements
- Excellent written communication skills; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8–10 years of experience (3 at supervisory level), or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience
- Relevant professional qualification: CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent
- Experience in the venture capital industry with exposure to fund management, finance, accounting, and operations
- Start-up experience as a founder or core team member preferred
- Strong understanding of the venture investment cycle and “investment readiness” principles
- Deep knowledge in one or more technology-related fields
- Strong analytical skills for start-up assessment and due diligence
- Proficiency in MS Office and AI-driven VC financial management tools
