POWERED BY FANARThere is something quietly extraordinary about the moment you realize that the work you are doing is bigger than yourself. It is not a headline moment, nor one marked by fanfare or applause, but rather a still and clear recognition that you are part of something with real impact. That moment came for me at QSTP.
Where It All Began
Like many young professionals, I arrived at QSTP nearly two years ago, not entirely certain of what I was stepping into. What I found was an environment intentionally designed to help people grow. Every project brought a new challenge, every conversation offered a lesson, and every opportunity opened a new window into the dynamic innovation ecosystem thriving within Education City.
Here, I learned to write with intention, communicate with clarity, and listen more closely to what community truly means. Over time, what began as an internship gradually evolved into something far more meaningful: a vocation shaped by purpose.
Leading the SYNC Spring 2026 Doha Meet-Up
That sense of purpose came into sharper focus when I had the opportunity to coordinate QSTP’s local edition of the SYNC Spring 2026 Doha Meet-Up, a global live event that connected more than 30 cities simultaneously and brought together over 5,500 participants worldwide.
SYNC is a global gathering designed to convene innovators, mentors, and changemakers across borders to exchange ideas and catalyze opportunity through technology and collaboration.
For the Doha edition, we intentionally brought together QSTP’s startup community alongside members of the Syrian tech community, creating space for meaningful cross-community exchange. The energy in the room reflected what we set out to build: connection, dialogue, and shared purpose.
One of the highlights of the event was the participation of our President, Rama Chakaki, who joined as a mentor through the SYNC program. Facilitating her involvement and seeing QSTP represented on a global platform reinforced the role the organization plays in shaping innovation conversations both regionally and internationally.
What makes the SYNC meet-up especially impactful is that its mission extends beyond networking. It supports youth from crisis-affected regions, including refugees and students whose lives have been disrupted by conflict, helping them create new opportunities through technology and innovation. Being part of that broader effort gave the experience a deeper sense of meaning.
What Two Years at QSTP Have Built
My growth at QSTP didn’t come from a single project, but from being consistently challenged to take on responsibility and think beyond execution. That growth has been shaped by the people behind it all.
Behind every campaign, program, and event is a group of people working with focus and intention. They are strategists, storytellers, community builders, and mentors, often taking multiple roles at once. They have sharpened my thinking, challenged me to improve, and shown me what it means to lead with both ambition and purpose.

The Bigger Picture
At QSTP, the focus goes beyond supporting startups. It is about creating an environment where ideas can move from concept to real-world application.
Our programs are designed to support both innovation and the people behind it, providing access to mentorship, networks, and opportunities that enable ideas to grow. Events like SYNC extend that mission connecting our local communities to global, reinforcing the idea that innovation is built through collaboration.
If you are a founder, innovator, researcher, or a young professional looking to grow and contribute to meaningful change, QSTP offers an environment where ideas and impact come together.
Explore our programs, connect with our community, and become part of an ecosystem where innovation is not only encouraged, but purposefully directed toward creating real-world value.
