Every founder story has an origin moment, but not every origin moment is a wound. For the founder of iSportex, it was. As a boy, he dreamed of playing football professionally. The dream didn’t die from lack of talent or ambition. It died from lack of access. His family simply didn’t have the means to enroll him in a club or academy. “My dream went far of me day after day,” he says. It’s a line that could describe thousands of kids around the world right now, and that thought is exactly what turned a personal disappointment into a business idea.

Every Sports talent deserves a way to be seen.

A Gap Hiding in Plain Sight

After graduating with a degree in accounting and building a fifteen year career in Qatar since 2013, deliberately rotating through different departments to prepare himself for founder life, he started asking a question that stuck with him: while professional scouting has adopted data and video tools at the top levels of sport, that access rarely extends to athletes outside established academies and networks, where discovery still depends heavily on personal connections and word of mouth.

The inefficiencies show up on both sides of the market. Talented athletes without existing connections to clubs or academies often have no clear channel to be noticed. Parents investing time and resources in a child’s development have limited visibility into viable pathways forward. And sports organizations, in turn, spend considerable time and resources on scouting trips and personal networks to identify new talent, a process with little standardization or reach.

That is the gap iSportex was built to close.

One Platform, Every stakeholder in the Game

iSportex is a global sports marketplace bringing athletes, coaches, clubs, academies, scouts, agents, and fans together in one ecosystem. One platform for the whole sports ecosystem community, bringing all sports stakeholders together with AI assistance.  Athletes and coaches build professional profiles showcasing skills, achievements, statistics, and career history. Clubs and academies can manage rosters, present athletes for trials, contracts, loans, or transfers, and search and shortlist prospects directly. Parents can even build profiles for their children, giving young talent a foothold long before they might otherwise be noticed.

He describes the value simply.

We are here to give a chance to be visible. Your dream can be achieved. We are making your life easier.

And for the organizations on the other side of the platform, the pitch is just as direct: reducing “the cost, effort, and days” that sports organizations currently spend discovering new talent.

Why Qatar, and Why Now

The choice to build iSportex out of Qatar wasn’t incidental. He points to the country’s national vision for economic diversification, its long history of nurturing sport at every level, and its position as home to, in his words, “some of the largest academies in the Middle East.” “Qatar has a long track record of providing assistance to developing nations and supporting and discovering talent worldwide,” he says, calling it “a great chance to start such a platform” in a country that has led sporting activity in recent years before taking that model to the world. The plan is to launch simultaneously in Qatar and Egypt, then expand across the GCC and into wider African markets before scaling globally.

Building With Support, Not Alone

For a first-time founder, expertise in the game isn’t the same as expertise in building a company. That’s where Qatar Science & Technology Park comes in. iSportex is part of QSTP revamped Incubation Program, which welcomed its Fall 2026 cohort this September, guiding 52 local and international startups across 19 sectors, including SportsTech, through a structured 16 week journey built around three phases: a Sprint to stress test the business, an Incubation phase focused on execution and market traction, and a Funding phase connecting investment ready startups with potential investors.

“As someone still new to the entrepreneurial world, I knew I needed a mentor to help me shape and execute the idea the right way.” he says, “as well as to help me acquire essential skills across various practical aspects of the journey.” He credits a friend whose own startup had gone through QSTP incubation track for pointing him toward the program in the first place.

The Long Game

Ask him where iSportex is headed and he doesn’t think small. “Empowering and providing opportunities to talented individuals worldwide who currently lack the means or chance to showcase their talents.” He wants to see the sports transfer market shift from one built on personal connections toward “a technology driven ecosystem that facilitates and accelerates transfers while ensuring greater transparency.”

It’s an ambitious vision for a young company still building out its directories, but the core product is already in athletes’ hands. And ambition, paired with a founder who has lived the exact problem he’s trying to solve, is often exactly how the most durable startups begin.
