At Qatar Science & Technology Park, exploring new tools is part of how we work. Our recent workshop gave teams the chance to explore Claude AI in a practical, hands-on way, bringing everyone together to discover how artificial intelligence can support the way we work across different roles.

What made this workshop particularly special was who led it. Mohammad Al Ansari, a Qatar University intern training with QSTP, facilitated the entire session. That is our internship program in action: real responsibility, real impact.

Instead of sitting through slide decks and demonstrations, participants came prepared with real tasks from their actual jobs. By the end of the session, people had walked away with dashboards, trackers, flowcharts, concept notes, and more, all built during the workshop itself. That was the point. Not to introduce AI as something to experiment with eventually, but to show it working, right now, on work that needs to get done.

From Prompts to Professional Outputs

The session opened with a grounding overview of what Claude is, how it works, and how it compares with other AI tools like ChatGPT. This provided valuable context for understanding where different tools excel and how they can complement one another in the workplace.

The bulk of the workshop focused on prompting, the critical skill that determines the quality of AI-generated results. The difference between a vague prompt and a well-constructed one is the difference between a generic response and something you can actually use. Participants practiced writing prompts with clarity, context, and specificity.

AI as an Enabler, Not a Replacement

At the heart of the discussion was a simple but important idea: AI does not replace professional judgment; it clears the path for it. When repetitive tasks are handled faster, people get to spend more time on the work that genuinely requires their thinking and experience. That shift is where the real value lies, and the practical examples from the session made it tangible rather than abstract.

What Comes Next

This workshop was a starting point. Future sessions will go deeper, with content shaped around each team’s specific workflows and challenges. The energy and feedback from participants made clear that interest in these tools is real and growing.

AI is most valuable when it is used with intention. At QSTP, our teams are already asking the right questions, and that is exactly where it starts.
