POWERED BY FANARAt just 18 years old, Manjushree Magesh from DPS Modern Indian School joined the Waste to Wonder track of Creative Labs. Over two weeks, the fast-paced, hands-on program transformed her approach to creativity and problem-solving. Here’s how the Creative Labs shaped her journey:
1. Building BioSeal
With her team, Manjushree developed BioSeal, a sustainable meat packaging concept that changes color when the product begins to spoil. What started as an idea about fruit packaging evolved into a solution with a broader impact, fueled by continuous mentoring and feedback.
2. Learning by Doing
From day one, the hands-on methodology shaped her thinking from rapid prototyping to iterative design improvements. She mastered advanced cardboard techniques far beyond simple cutting, like scoring, layering, and hinging, skills she’ll carry into future engineering projects.
3. Embracing Failure as a Strength
Multiple prototype failures taught Manjushree the value of resilience and adaptability. “If you fail once, just keep going. It might fail again, but in the end, you’ll still get there,” she shared.
4. Fueling Strength in Collaboration
Beyond technical skills, the program fostered a supportive, collaborative community. Break-time UNO games, open discussions with mentors, and team brainstorming sessions created an environment that encouraged bold, innovative thinking.
