Fireside Chat
When asked what it truly means to be a principal, Aboudi Al-Qattan explained that his role goes far beyond managing funds; it’s about using networks to open doors, source deals, and create long-term value for portfolio companies. After working in venture capital in MENA, he developed a technology-first, methodical approach to back founders who truly understand the problems they solve. Not every business needs startup venture funding; some can achieve steady, profitable growth through debt or reinvestment

Palazzi Instruments
Giuliano Palazzi introduced SprintScope, a smart device that measures sprint performance with instant, detailed feedback for athletes and coaches. Aboudi advised clarifying how it differs from basic camera tools, a key lesson for those learning how to pitch your business to investors effectively. SprintScope must highlight professional-grade performance and market potential to strengthen its case for startup funding for business growth.

MindBridge XR
Ghaith Glaied presented an AI copilot that transforms 2D cameras into a sensory-driven, hybrid XR ecosystem for immersive therapeutics. Aboudi urged the team to define their focus between hardware and software, an essential step for Middle East startups competing for startup venture funding. This focus, he explained, helps investors see a clear growth path and builds confidence in the team’s long-term vision.

DLOC Biosystems
Wadah Malaeb discussed their goal of reducing drug development time and cost through advanced testing models. Aboudi found the pitch strong but highly technical, suggesting the founder simplify complex concepts to better connect with investors. He also recommended exploring regional partnerships to enter startup funding in Qatar or wider MENA markets.

Aboudi described evaluating startups as both an art and a science, encouraging founders to attract the right investors early and communicate their competitive edge. As facilitator Kareem Hamwi shared, “QSTP serves as a launchpad for deep tech startups, helping founders turn bold ideas into global impact.”
